April 22 (UPI) — Carlos Ghosn, a previous prime government at Nissan and Renault, is being sought by prosecutors in France following they issued an global arrest warrant Friday as part of an investigation into alleged income laundering and abuse of company belongings.

Ghosn, a chief in the automotive business for additional than two decades, is accused of enriching himself by channeling hundreds of thousands of euros from Renault accounts to an Omani company.

The 66-yr-aged has been residing in Lebanon as a fugitive given that 2019. He was formerly arrested by Japanese authorities in late 2018 when he was accused of evading taxes when in charge of Nissan.
