Drunk physician in dashing BMW hits, kills RMC staffer

Lakkiraj Aklavia was returning with close friends from a farmhouse when his vehicle hit the bike

In a lethal incident in Rajkot on Tuesday night, a BMW auto rammed a motorbike driven by an RMC worker killing him on the location. Police claimed the automobile was travelling at a substantial pace and hit the bicycle from behind, throwing the rider headlong on to the ground. Car driver Lakkiraj Aklavia, 28, was arrested right after incident. The deceased was determined as 45-year-previous Jayantibhai Rathod.

Thorala law enforcement station workforce achieved the spot and detained Lakkiraj right away later on. The accused is a health care provider by career.

Law enforcement said accused Lakkiraj was drunk when the incident transpired at 10 pm in the evening. He was returning from a farmhouse on the outskirts of Rajkot with his pals in the BMW.

Jayantibhai Rathod labored at Rajkot Municipal Corporation‘s Conservancy depo and was returning house from duty.

Thorala PS investigating officer H B Vadavia said the incident happened close to Rajkot’s common Aji Dam Chokdi. “Lakkiraj who was driving the luxury car or truck hit Rathod’s bike from behind at Amul circle. He admitted to the law enforcement that he was drunk at the time of incident.”

Resources stated, the BMW, pushed at very well above the suitable speed limit, initial ran into a website traffic island at Amul circle, then strike a street divider and eventually crashed into Rathod’s motorcycle. Rathod fell on the floor and received really serious injuries on the head. He died on the location. A big crowd collected at the website following the incident.

Law enforcement said of the two other people travelling in Lakkiraj’s car, one human being Dharmesh Sorathiya, 32, also gained accidents and was shifted to Rajkot Civil Clinic.

Resources stated Lakkiraj had a run in with the regulation on an before celebration far too when an attempt-to-murder grievance was registered towards him in Rajkot.
