Women visiting Long Island for Sweet 16 killed in crash with drunken driver, police say

Three women of all ages were being killed around the weekend in a suspected drunken driving crash on Long Island, New York, that left debris scattered throughout the area.

Two of the victims ended up in town from North Carolina on Saturday for a Sweet 16, law enforcement resources near to the investigation advised NBC New York. The victims names’ and ages have not been produced.

The victims were sitting down in the rear of a Lincoln Town Motor vehicle with a driver and two other occupants when a Mercedes-Benz strike the car or truck in front of 214 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park soon just after 11 p.m., the Nassau County police explained.

Dante Lennon, 22, of Freeport, was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the Mercedes-Benz, police mentioned.
