PITTSBURG, Kan. (AP) — A pedestrian was hospitalized over the weekend after being hit by a Pittsburg police vehicle, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.
Marco Dias, 23, was struck by the vehicle Thursday night on a street in Pittsburg. He was taken to Ascension Via Christi Hospital, The Joplin Globe reported. The hospital said he was not listed as a patient at the Pittsburg hospital on Monday.
The patrol car was southbound on Walnut Street, approaching an intersection, when Dias was hit, according to the Pittsburg police department. The car was driven by Nicholas Cook, 24, the patrol said.
No further information was released.
