How to Apply the Law of Attraction to Your Life Instantly!

The law of attraction works all the time, whether we consciously want it to or not. So it follows that we should be able to apply the law of attraction to our life instantly. But is this easier said than done?

At it’s simplest, the law of attraction says that whatever we think about on a regular basis manifests itself into our lives.

Of course, like all simple things it isn’t necessarily quite that easy.

So what can you do to start the process of manifesting good stuff into your life?

Start by thinking consciously.

Too much of what we do happens on auto pilot. That’s good news for all the mundane things like making your hair grow or your eyes blink or the more important things like remembering to breathe and pumping blood round your body.

But it’s absolutely no good for the things you want to make a positive difference in your life.

We’re all using the law of attraction already.

It’s bringing everything – good and bad – into our lives.

So the boring routine you’re in, the less than exceptional relationship, the dead end job (assuming you’re lucky enough to have a job at all) are all things that you’re attracting.

Which is a scary thought.

Our thoughts are translated by the universe and returned to us.

But they do undergo a kind-of translation process.

The universe understands things in much the same way as a small child or our own subconscious mind. Which means it takes things literally. It also means it is clueless when it comes to understanding negatives.

The universe works a bit like our minds – if I ask you not to think of King Kong, chances are that the first thing that goes through your mind is that overgrown gorilla, swatting planes from the top of the Empire State building. Then you cross out the image in your mind, which is one stage further than any requests you put into the universe get. They stall at the first stage of the process and assume that is what you really want.

So if you’re attracting rubbish things into your life, that’s why.

Your requests – the things you are trying to attract – are phrased wrong.

So, going back to my movie example, Instead of not thinking about King Kong, you’d think about something positive like Gorillas in the Mist.

A trick I’ve used that works well is to wear an elastic band on my wrist.

Every time I catch myself thinking negatively – and it’s a habit most of us have got into – I just flick the elastic band. The – literally – short sharp shock reminds me to rephrase my thoughts.

Give that a try yourself – it doesn’t hurt (much!) and it does act as a stimulus response to bring your thoughts back on track.

Try that for a few days and you’ll be absolutely amazed at the difference thinking positively more often does to bring the law of attraction into your life near enough instantly.
