Here’s everything we saw at Luftgekuhlt 8 through the lens of a Porsche Design film camera
A few weeks back my buddy Noah Wheeler requested me if he could apply for media qualifications to Luftgekuhlt 8 on behalf of FlatSixes. Ordinarily I’d yell “heck no” due to the fact I’d be there to expertise that individual slice of Porsche heaven myself, but because the very last Luftgekuhlt on the west coastline, I’ve relocated to considerably flung Cleveland, Ohio, and could not drag myself away from do the job to fly out for the event. Simply because of this, I jumped at the option to deliver Noah’s photographic talents to the FlatSixes loyals. To sweeten the pot, he presented to shoot the full function on outdated-university film with a ‘Design by F.A. Porsche’ Rollei QZ35W. I imply, how amazing is that? Of training course I signed the needed paperwork and bought him the required photograph passes. Not only did Noah get to shoot the entirety of the celebration on Sunday, but he bought obtain to choose images all through the load-in method on Saturday, which adds a minimal additional sizzle.
Based mostly on the photographs he sent listed here, it was a sound guess to make. The celebration itself looks like it went off to predictable degrees of amazing. I was a minimal astonished to see Luft return to the Port of Los Angeles for their celebration this yr, as it experienced formerly held an party at that venue in 2017, but it was pretty a good deal distinctive this time, as the weather conditions truly cooperated. With a number of a long time of neighborhood enhancement, a complete scad of new not often-witnessed vehicles at the exhibit, and a large wide range of men and women in attendance, it was constantly bound to be a fantastic celebration, anyway. From individuals who attended, it seems the event has been scaled again a minimal bit, with a little bit extra concentration on the early days of Luft fashion. It’s less about obtaining all people attend, and a extra special chill vibe. Getting been to Luftgekuhlts 3, 5, and 6, I can say it has been a wild journey to see this party improve, but it was likely out of control and desired to tranquil down a small.
So anyway, Luft 8 was excellent. Check out the pics underneath for much more proof. See you at the up coming 1!
