A dwelling at 1928 Sixth Ave. N. experienced significant problems when it was struck by a vehicle Saturday early morning.

A auto racing away from police slammed into a home in Fort Dodge early Saturday early morning.

Both of those occupants of the auto have been wounded, but everybody in the home, like a small dog, was unharmed.

Fort Dodge police Sgt. Paul Samuelson explained alcoholic beverages and velocity are believed to be elements in the crash.

He stated a “good Samaritan” who is not a police officer served to apprehend the driver of the motor vehicle soon after he tried out to operate absent from the crash scene.

Samuelson said officers bought the driver out of the car or truck and handcuffed him. The driver tried out to operate away.
